Breakfast Casserole
Ingredients
- 6 slices white bread cut off crust
- 1 pound breakfast sausage cook well done
- 2 1/2 cups sharp or med cheddar cheese grated
- 2 cups milk or cream
- 8 eggs beaten
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1 teaspoon mustard optional
Instructions
- Grease 9/13 baking dish
- Bread goes in first, then meat (sausage should be crumbled)
- Beat eggs and stir in all remaining ingredients
- Refrigerate overnight. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. Best ot let stand until firm (5-10 minutes)
- I prefer to set casserole out of fridge and bring to room temp before baking.
